A few hours ago, I invited the founder of this site (Bruce Wedding) to be interviewed on my weekly business-building telecast called Stump Markus.

The broadcast lasted over 2 hours!

And here's what we discussed during the first half of the call:

- The best copywriter's ideas in a single click...
- Hijack your competitor's search results instantly...
- 7 fast and easy tips for generating story ideas for articles...
- YouTube makes your videos bigger...
- How to rev up your idea engine...
- John Ree$e pulls the plug on BlogRush...
- Is Yanik Silver emailing too much?

The last part of the call was my favorite... because Bruce (and copywriter Ben Settle) traded copywriting ideas back and forth...

... And while I'd like to think I know a lot about writing copy, I was constantly typing notes into my PIM.

My favorite part was Bruce disclosing that he was ready to buy Michel Fortin's closed-down board... it's quite an interesting story to hear.

The good news is the replay is available for you to hear FREE right now at:
http://www.StumpMarkus.com

The bad news is don't delay... after 7 days, hearing the call is going to cost you money.

I've listened to the first few minutes so far.  Sounds like a good call.

I'm a little dazed though because I've just begun developing a white listing program EXACTLY like the one you describe in the call, Markus.  I couldn't find any traces of an existing product and I thought it was a genius idea.  I couldn't believe it hadn't been done before (guess it had).  I guess your genius is just a little ahead of mine.  Glad it's working well for you.

And thanks for sharing the audio.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much for sharing this information!

I have two decades of experience in the communications industry, mostly as a technical writer in IT, and until this year, have been lucky to have very steady work! Not only have I always found full-time work as a Technical Writer and freelance work as a Copy Writer, I even did a two-year stint as a Technical Translator, translating software manuals, screens, and presentations from English to Spanish for an international software company.

In fact, I even managed a Technical Publications department for over eight years, while also generating so much freelance work for my communications company, Write Way Designs, Inc., that I often needed to outsource projects due to my workload.

However, the economy, this year's layoffs, the scarcity of jobs for writers (technical, marketing, copy writing), and the stiff competition for those few jobs available, have profoundly impacted my situation as a working single mother.

It is the first time in twenty years that all my income generating prospects...both full-time and part-time, permanent and freelance... have come to a screeching halt. I finally had to cash out what was left of my retirement account to pay my monthly bills and save my home.

This situation has made me, if not re-think my career, at the very least assess my skill set and  expand my awareness for other opportunities for which I may be suited.

It has also prompted me to consider how I market my company and myself (resume).

The best way to learn new techniques is to be open to feedback and to model the successful pros.

You are a pro, who is willing to share your expertise with others...for free!!
And I am eternally grateful.

Thanks again!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Susana,

Welcome to the copywriting board. And a happy thanksgiving to you. But I have to take you to task on 1 thing. During tougher economic times copywriting is ever that much more important... and smart businesses know that.

There is no scarcity in copywriting work. There's a ton of it. I'm turning down jobs all the time. It's all about knowing how to make money for clients. When you have a proven track record of putting cash into pockets, the work shows up.

Of course this is not the same as translating... tech writing... or article writing and such. Copywriting is its own animal and nothing like those other things.

However, the economy, this year's layoffs, the scarcity of jobs for writers (technical, marketing, copy writing), and the stiff competition for those few jobs available, have profoundly impacted my situation as a working single mother.
