I've noticed that the ipad has really split the public and i'd like to get some more opinions on it.
I'm an avid book reader and i would only buy the ipad for its ibook features, would you recommend me to wait and get the ipad or just buy a kindle? the kindles are cheaper on amazon.com

I wouldn't bother getting either!

If all you really want to do with it is read books then get a palm!(you can get on older one on ebay far cheaper than an ipad or kindle) - most books are available in multiple formats (especially if you buy from somewhere like www.fictionwise.com). 

I've had mine for years and wouldn't get a kindle or ipad due to thier limitations.
